Mykonos is located in the Cyclades and is connected by ferry to and from Athens, Crete, the Aegean islands, other ports in the Cyclades and the Greek Mainland.

There are 5 ferry companies operating ferries to and from Mykonos. Blue Star Ferries, Fast Ferries, Golden Star Ferries, Minoan Lines and Seajets all operate ferries to and from Mykonos. In the summer season, there are a total of 249 sailings per week.

The most popular route in terms of sailings is the route from Piraeus to Mykonos with 30 sailings per week.

The port or island closest to Mykonos is Tinos with a distance of just 18 kilometres - that's 11 miles or 10 nautical miles. While the port or island furthest away is Kavala at a distance of 397.26 kilometres - that's about 247 miles or about 215 nautical miles.

The main port of Mykonos is Tourlos port which lies just 4.5 kilometers outside Mykonos town on the west of the island. While Mykonos does have another port - Mykonos Old Port - it is the port of Tourlos that today is exclusively used by commercial ferries. The port is a very big port and is generally very busy but is busiest in the summer.

Mykonos port facilities

Mykonos port is located directly in the capital town of the island. You can find covered seating areas and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby.

The main taxi stand is situated exactly across and left as you disembark from the ferries. Also, the bus station is situated near the taxis.

I traveled from Piraeus to Mykonos with Blue Star Ferries the ferry was on time and we had a very good trip the only thing I didn't like and because of that is one star less was that inside the ferry was very cold
