The port is a very big port and is generally very busy but is busiest in the summer.

Santorini port facilities

You can find covered seating areas and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. Also, ferry terminal facilities include a heated lounge, payphone, hot and cold vending machines and toilets.

There is a small car park opposite the main passenger terminal. There is also a larger car park, 300 meters from the pedestrian check-in. There is no charge for car parking at the port at any car park.

Athinios port is well connected and signposted. The descent to the port is quite steep so please drive carefully.

Taxis can be found parked near the ferry arrival and departure area. In August please don't rely on being able to find a taxi easily to either take you to or from the port.

By Bus

There are frequent busses to and from the port to match up with ferry schedules. Purchase tickets directly from the driver. The busses can fill up very quickly in July and August so please arrive at least twenty minutes before deparute. And be prepared to hurry to the bus at the port.
on foot

On Foot

It can't be reached on foot unless you are willing to use hundreds of steep stairs.

Details of Review

We traveled with my family to Santorini with our car when we arrive there the port was so crowdy and we needed one hour to arrive in the town they have to do something in the port to be easier to the travelers to reach the town
