Mytilene is the name of the main port and settlement of the island and is located on the southeast coast of the island of lesbos (also spelled 'Lesvos'). Locals may also refer to the island itself as Mytilene. The port is a very big port and is generally very busy but is busiest in the summer.

Lesbos port facilities

Lesbos port is located directly in the capital town of the island. You can find covered seating areas and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby.

There is parking near the port, but with payment. (For example: 1 euro per hour)

In the summer months the port can be become quite chaotic with long queues for cars. So please arrive at least one hour in advance if travelling by car. For more information about Lesbos, you can visit Wikipedia.

The port is located in the heart of Mytilini (the capital) so is easy to reach but in August there may be traffic jams and you should allow plenty of time to reach the port if you are not based close by.
