The Sporades are a group of islands in the Aegean Sea which are located in the area north of Evia and east of Magnesia, in ancient times they were called Magnet Islands. A special feature of the islands are the beautiful beaches with very rich vegetation that often reaches the coasts.

The Sporades consists of 11 islands of which only four are inhabited: Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos took their name from their geographical location as they were scattered in the Aegean. The biggest of them is Skyros famous for the small horses and the marbles.

It is connected with many parts of Greece such as Agios Constantinos, Cyclades, Volos as well as with the islands of Dodecanese. Because it is considered one of the most popular destinations, it is also served by many ships companies such as Blue Star Ferries, Saos Anes, Ane Kalymnou, Dodekanisos Sea Ways and others
