Patmos port facilities

Skala is the main port of Patmos, located 4km from the main town but is also the second-largest village of Patmos. You can find supermarkets, ATM's, pharmacies and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby.

There are also local buses connecting Chora and the port with beaches and other villages.

In the summer months the port can become quite chaotic with long queues for cars. So please arrive at least one hour in advance if travelling by car. For more information about Patmos, you can visit Wikipedia.

Patmos is a small island and you will have no problems finding anything by car. There is one petrol station on the island situated close to the yacht marina, you can find it using Google Maps.

In the port at the end of the ferry port pier you will find a taxi rank to your left (as you leave). You should normally have no issues finding a taxi here around the time your ferry arrives. However, in August, there may be a wait.
bus

By Bus

Patmos has a year round bus service with busses going from Skala port to Chora and the village of Kampos. In the winter these routes depart four times per day. This increases in the summer. In the summer there are also connections to Grikos from Chora and Skala. These routes don't run in the winter. For more information on busses in the island see the Patmos bus website.
