Athens is served by three ferry ports and about 14 ferry companies. The most popular port is Piraeus but the ports of Lavrio and Rafina can be very convenient depending on where you're going to or starting from.

Piraeus port has 12 gates from which ships depart. Ferries depart to the Saronic islands, the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, Crete and the northern οf Aegean.

Rafina is connected by ferry to the Cyclades (Tinos, Andros, Mykonos, Naxos, Ios, Paros and Santorini)

Lavrio is connected by ferry to the North Aegean and islands in the Cyclades (Naxos, Paros, Kythnos, Kea, Syros, Milos, Sikinos, Andros, Tinos, Mykonos, Folegandros, Kimolos, Ios, Chios, Agios Efstratios, Kavala and Lemnos)
